India, Nepal and Kenya
The first three photographs in this portfolio were taken on a the trip to Kenya in 2005. My friend, Alex Colgate, and I traveled there to be with our daughter for the birth of our grandson. First you see Grandfather Joshua holding that grandson. He was talking to about 300 men and women of his church community who had journeyed to celebrate the birth. Second is “Suswa” man with acacia walking stick. Suswa is a very small village near Joshua’s home. Third is an elder who came to celebrate the birth.
In 2010, Alex and I traveled to India and Nepal. The remainder of the photographs are from that trip. I was there for 8 weeks, Alex stayed on longer. We walked alot. We also traveled by train, plane, automobiles, boat and rickshaw. We saw Delhi, Darjeeling, Kathmandu, Calcutta, Bodh Gaya, Agra, Varanasi, Cochi - a multitude of sights, sounds and smells. Intensely beautiful. This collection is a bit of an introduction to travels . . . I plan on adding more in future portfolios.
